Who Mourns for Adonais? The fourth consecutive episode where our heroes get captured on a planet and have to figure out how to escape. Seeing these all bunched together in production order does offer an explanation for why they were aired in a different order. What distinguishes this from the others is the singular performance of Michael Forest as Apollo. Despite being given a script which writes the character very broadly, he finds subtley and dignity in the rejected god. After his temple has been destroyed, he finds humanity and pathos in the character which gives the ending a genuinely tragic feel. This is by no means a great episode, but it was saved by a single -- and singular -- performance. Rating: Middle-lower (5) CommentsWonderful epxlanaiton of facts available here.
